Breast reduction
FOR A MORE ELEGANT SILHOUETTE
Overly large breasts may be more than just an aesthetic problem. Attempts to conceal the breast often lead to an abnormal posture affecting the spinal column. Generally, these problems can be remedied by a breast reduction. In breast reduction the excess breast tissue is removed and the mammary gland reshaped. In addition, the nipple is lifted and the skin tightened.

BREAST REDUCTION SURGERY
The operation is carried out under general anesthesia and takes three to five hours. The stitches are removed after 14 days. In the three months following the surgery, a special bra must be worn and breast-straining sports are to be avoided.

SCARS AFTER BREAST REDUCTION
In breast reduction surgery a special, scar-minimizing technique is used. This method is time-consuming but offers the benefit of markedly less scars.
BREAST REDUCTION RISKS
With the appropriate surgical skills, breast reduction surgery is a very safe operation. General risks include postoperative hemorrhage and infection. Additionally, impaired wound healing and changes in sensitivity of the nipple may occur.

BREAST REDUCTION COST
Costs for breast reduction surgery vary. The follow-up checks are included.
