Facelift
Increasing formation of wrinkles, a loss of the facial contours and missing fullness lead to loss of youthful freshness over the years. The face looks tired. The visual appearance does not correspond to the age one feels. Differences in the rate of ageing between the upper and lower halves of the face can result in the facial expression losing its harmonious balance. This freshness can be regained by a facelift, which is carefully and individually planned by taking into account these various mechanisms and by reference to photographs from earlier years. With modern methods a mask-like appearance can be avoided. To ensure that the true age is not betrayed by the hands, a facelift may also be followed by a handlift.
